The University of Kentucky has a history of great basketball players. Many of their players have made it to the national championship games as well as the All Star American Games. The Kentucky Wildcats has seen a number of talented players on their court. Some of these players are so good they are considered to be the best players of all time at the University of Kentucky.

Kenny Walker
He is the second all time scorer at this school scoring a total of 2,080 points. He had 924 rebounds and went on to play for professional teams including the Knicks.

Kevin Grevey
He averaged 6.5 points per game while he played for Kentucky. He was with Kentucky during two of their best seasons and scored 21.4 point per game. From Kentucky he went on to play professionally with the Washington Bullets (modern Wizards) and was a member of the 1978 championship team.

Jack Givens
Givens was only one of three players at the University of Kentucky to score more than 2,000 points during their college careers. He earned some awards while playing at Kentucky. He was the Most Outstanding Player during the 1978 Final Four and helped Kentucky win the NCAA title. He went on to play with the Hawks but only lasted in the professional league for two seasons.

Alex Groza
Groza was said to be the best postseason player in the history of Kentucky. He won four straight Final Four Most Outstanding Player awards and even made it to the national championships that are held in Lexington. He average 20.5 point per game during his senior year. He went on to play with the Indianapolis Olympians in the NBA. Groza was later banned due to a point shaving scandal in the NBA.

Tony Delk
Due to being 6’1 which is on the small side for a shooting guard Delk proved he has what it takes to be a great basketball player. He helped Kentucky win the national title in 1996. He made Kentucky history with a record 210 steals and has 283 three point field which is a record at Kentucky. He went on to shoot 34.4 percent of his three point shots while in the NBA.

Jamal Mashburn
Mashburn is said to be one of the best well rounded players to play for Kentucky. During a game he averaged 21 points, 8.4 boards, and 3.6 assists. He made All American during his senior year. He had scored 1,843 points during his college career with Kentucky. He got to play in two NCAA tournaments. As a professional basketball player he made 40 percent of his three point shots.

Cliff Hagan
During his junior year Hagan really made a name for himself. He average 21.6 points per game. He played center and played in the All Star game a total of six times. He went on to be a one time NBA champion and made it to the Hall of Fame with his career playing for the Hawks.

These are some of the best players to play the game of basketball at the University of Kentucky. These players have helped make this one of the best schools for basketball in the country and have shown that there are many talented players in college basketball.
