About the Keene Young Professionals Network
The Keene Young Professionals Network was created in 2007 as an initiative of the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce to promote economic vitality and community involvement among young professionals throughout the Monadnock Region. The Keene YPN focuses on sparking new connections and ideas to support personal and professional development among all participants.
Keene YPN was founded under the leadership of the Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce just as New Hampshire was experiencing the rapid loss of college graduates to other states, in addition to experiencing difficulty attracting young professionals to live and work here. This loss of talent and workforce of the next generation of leaders prompted Governor Lynch to create the Task Force on Young Worker Retention to address this problem. Based on recommendations from this effort, Keene YPN and ten other young professionals networks were strategically created throughout the state of NH. to support personal and professional development of the upcoming generation of the workforce, as well as promote shared prosperity and a sense belonging in our communities among the demographic.
Today, Keene YPN provides a series of events and activities where young professionals can connect to develop their personal and professional skills, become more involved with the community, and welcome new young professionals to the area.
