The Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applications for the 2011/2012 Leadership Monadnock program.
“Leadership Monadnock was a very rich, rewarding, and empowering experience – each session inspired and invigorated me to do more and be more, not just in my profession or as a leader, but also as a member of our community.” 2011 graduate of Leadership Monadnock
Leadership Monadnock, established in 1997, develops community leadership by expanding participants’ knowledge of the obstacles, opportunities and issues facing the Greater Monadnock region. Specifically, the program incorporates seminars, expert lectures, skills training and simulation exercises, on-site visits and informational background materials through nine sessions (one per month), beginning in October, 2011.
Past sessions have been invariably vivid and memorable, from walking the woods near Hancock to spending a day in the county jail to learn about the local judicial process.
In addition to being an excellent vehicle for gaining insight into the vital issues affecting and shaping the Monadnock Region, the Leadership Monadnock program offers an ideal forum for participants to forge new alliances and increase contacts with other influential decision makers in the area.
Each Leadership class is limited to 20 participants with special attention paid to creating a group that is representative of the region as well as one which will yield an energetic level of idea exchange.
The Greater Keene Chamber of Commerce is now accepting applicants who would benefit from and add to this valuable program. The application for admission to the program can be found on our Chamber website at http://www.keenechamber.com/lm2011.html Application deadline is September 30, 2011. Should you need additional information on the program or the application procedure, please call Leadership Monadnock Coordinator, Susan Bloom Newcomer at 352-1303, ext 14.
